Boston Back Bay Brownstones Reflected in Esplanade Lagoon

I love this view from the Esplanade of the brownstones in the Back Bay! The (not quite perfect) symmetry and the variety of colors is endlessly fascinating to me. I try to visit often because the clouds are never the same, and I love when the water is still enough to get these reflections. Shot with iPhone 6s in built-in camera app using HDR, and then edited in Lightroom Mobile (all on iPhone).

Boston Esplanade and Back Bay Skyline Panorama

This was six vertical photos shot on iPhone 6s in RAW, processed in Lightroom Mobile (that’s where most of the work happened - shadows, highlights, contrast, curves, selective adjustments, etc), then stitched into a panorama using Affinity on my iPad, with final panorama resolution comparable to one photo from a DSLR. I also used Snapseed at the end for a bit of spot removal. All mobile all the way.

Glass and Brick

View from the roof deck at 470 Atlantic Ave in Boston. The building across the way is mostly highly reflective glass, so you can see 470 Atlantic Ave reflected back. We went up there as part of a photography meet up, so all the people you can see reflected in the next building over are photographers and models. Shot with Sony a6000 and Sony 35mm f/1.8 lens.
